The University of Ghana Medical Center has announced that it has completed its first six kidney transplant surgeries.
A statement issued on June 30, 2024, said the procedures were performed seamlessly which showcased the centre’s capabilities in complex surgical interventions and post-operative care.
Chief Executive Officer for the Center Dr Kwame Anim Boamah said the success in the procedure is a testament to the fact that the Center is pushing beyond boundaries to achieve medical excellence and improve the lives of the people through cutting-edge interventions and compassionate care.
