Three dead, twenty injured in fatal road crash in Gomoa Okyereko

A tragic road accident on the Gomoa Okyereko junction, Gomoah East District in the Central Region has left three people dead and 20 others injured.

The accident which occurred in the early hours of Thursday (12 December 2024) involved a VW Sprinter Benz bus, registered GW 577-22, and a Hyundai Grace minibus, with registration number GR 58-99-32.

The injured victims are currently receiving treatment at the Accident and Emergency Unit of the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital.

Eyewitnesses report that a VW Sprinter Benz bus heading towards Takoradi attempted a wrongful overtaking and collided head-on with a Hyundai Grace minibus.

The Hyundai Grace was reportedly traveling from the Winneba to Kasoa.
