Founder of the Movement for Change and Independent Presidential Candidate John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen has hit back at his critics who claim he cannot win the 2024 general election and therefore must not be voted for describing them as liars.
According to Alan, some politicians are going around with the message that he cannot win the election due to the fact that he does not have the support base to grant him any victory.
Though Mr Kyerematen did not mention names it was obvious that his comments were being referred to some elements within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and his former party the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking to supporters at Bompata in the Asante Akim South Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Alan stated “I tell you, if someone comes here and tells you that Alan is a good Candidate but if you vote for him he cannot win, I tell you that he is a liar. Everybody in the country say they want Alan. So how will Alan not win if you vote for him”, he asked.
During his campaign in the Ashanti Region on Friday, October 4, Alan challenged both John Mahama of the NDC and Bawumia, the Flagbearer of the NPP saying they have nothing new to offer Ghanaians apart from what they have already done.
“John Dramani Mahama has been a President before and Ghanaians know what he can do, Bawumia is also in this government and he has nothing more to do. Now, I am the only hope left for you. I am your own so please vote for me”, he stated.
“Everyone knows that things will get better under me”, Alan claimed, urging the people of Bompata to vote massively for him to make things better for the country.
Mr Alan Kyerematen is in the Ashanti Region for a 19-day campaign ahead of the 2024 December polls.
He has been engaging with citizens in the region one of the common messages from him is to vote number 13 (Asiehor) on the ballot.
