The Member of Parliament for Tano South, Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere, has stated that, a vote for the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mahamudu Bawumia, as the next President is a guarantee for a continuation impactful economic and social policies.
Benjamin Yeboah eulogised the unprecedented and unmatched impactful contributions of Bawumia, as the vice-president to the economic growth of the country, noting that he will be superb as the President of Ghana.
At a ceremony in Bechem in the Ahafo Region to present start-up kits to over 200 artisans and apprentices in the area, Sekyere said, the NPP has been faithful to their promise of providing good roads, youth employment and quality education.
He also solicited votes from potential voters at the ceremony for his retention as the MP ahead of the 7 December polls to be able to keep up implementing the vision of creating wealth and security for the constituency.
“The call for the retention of the elephant party in government is apt. Tano South will continue to witness massive infrastructure and economic development under Bawumia and myself,” he canvassed.
The items donated include start-up kits for masons, carpenters, seamstresses, tailors, hairdressers, beauticians, welders, plumbers, glaziers, and painters, among other beneficiary artisans.
Yeboah Sekyere, who is also the deputy minister of gender, children and social protection, has since 2017, aside from the kits, also paid the apprenticeship fee of over 2,000 constituents to learn a vocation.
This, according to him, is part of his quest to create wealth through entrepreneurship and job opportunities to improve the standard of living among constituents, especially young persons.
Addressing a gathering in Bechem in the Ahafo Region, Dr Yeboah Sekyere, implored the beneficiary artisans and apprentices to make prudent use of the start-up kits in order to enjoy its reaping economic benefits.
A beneficiary, Yaa Titi, a school dropout and a pregnant teenager, expressed gratitude to the MP for donating sewing machine and auxiliary tools, as well as paying her apprenticeship fee when all hopes were lost.
“I’ve now graduated. Thank you Dr Yeboah Sekyere and NPP. Let us all retain the MP by voting massively for him on 7th December, so he can do more for us” she appealed.
