Senior Staff Association of the Universities of Ghana has declared a nationwide strike.
According to the association, the strike will start on September 16, 2024, to drum home the need for the government to address their calls for an improved service condition.
They say the government failed to meet its September 16 deadline of ensuring that their demands, including payment of new rates for vehicle maintenance and related allowances, were met.
Other demands include the release of their Tier Two deductions to their fund managers since January 2024 and the failure of governing to recalculate the interest of their Tier Two pension funds from 2010 to 2016.
