Musician Kurl Songx has disclosed that he got into trouble with Sarkodie due to a particular verse in his popular song “Jennifer Lomotey.
During an interview on Onua FM, Kurl Songx disclosed how he and his team, together with Sarkodie and his late lawyer met up with the elders of Krobo to render an apology for the verse sang by Sarkodie in his song.
“We met with the Krobo elders and had a discussion and explained why we used the lyrics “Krobonii baa papa a ahweneɛ da ne sisi” in the song. We came into a consensus and the elders understood that music is art and that we didn’t have any ulterior motive”, he disclosed
Kurl Songx disclosed that his team and Sarkodie’s late lawyer explained to the Krobo elders that the verse used by the rapper was not to tarnish the image of the women of Krobo but tried to use music to promote the culture of the Kroboland.
