Samatex to choose between Accra and Kumasi to play their champions league matches

Winners of Ghana’s Premier League, Samatex SC, are yet to decide on their home venue for the Champions League.

They are contemplating playing in Åccra or Kumasi but a decision is yet to b e reached by the club’s board.

In an interview with Asempa FM, the club’s manager, Edmund Ackah indicated that they will communicate the venue in earnest after the board decides.

“For now, we are considering our games at the Accra Sports Stadium or the Baba Yara Stadium,” Edmund Ackah told Asempa FM.

“The Board is yet to meet but the final decision will be made and we will know the forward as to when we have to start preparations for our CAF Champions League campaign,” he added.

Samatex boss believes that the support from football-loving fans in Kumasi and Accra will be a motivation and can spur them on to glory.

Samatex will play in the Champions League for the first time. This is the second season since the club joined Ghana’s top-flight but have given a good account of themselves by winning the Premier League.

The Club is hopeful that their feat will not be a nine-day wonder.
