A leading member of the Movement for Change, Yaw Buaben Asamoa, has called on the President to sack the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources.
He premised his call for the dismissal of the minister on his failure in two major areas he is responsible for.
To Yaw Buaben Asamoa, sacking the Minister is the first step towards the fight against illegal mining and also an end to land grabbing currently ongoing in the country.
Yaw Buaben Asamoa was speaking on Accra-based TV3’s Keypoints when he made this known.
He said, “The Minister has failed in the two key areas of his ministry; he has to resign. Somebody must be held accountable.
“That is why labour unions are up in arms. They should add state capture and land grabbing to their grievances. In the case of land grabs and galamsey heads must roll, and if heads don’t roll, then there is complicity.”
