Questions raised over the composition of NPP’s 11-member election review committee

Some members of the outgoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) are not enthused about the make of the 11-member committee to investigate the cause of the party’s failure in the 2024 elections.

The members of the party want some of the committee members taken out because they contributed immensely to the party’s failure to win the 2024 elections.

They are of the view that instead of continuously relying on the elderly in the political party, it is imperative that young minds are brought on board as the political party goes into opposition.

Afia Akoto who was a former Deputy Chief Executive of MASLOC has expressed some sentiments.

She said “Dear NPP National Council, we are not happy with some of your decisions , we expect better, and we are holding our peace not because we are okay but in the interest of Party , please do not push us to be writing thesis on social media.

Kofi Ofosu Nkansah who has also observed similar comments in a post said “I have not read a single comment on an NPP platform in support of Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye’s appointment by National Council to chair the election review Committee.

People are asking for replacement of some of the elders with much younger People and Women. Some suggest we have a few Gen Zs on the main Committee”.

Other members of the political party on their social media timelines have complained bitterly about the composition of the committee and will want a review of the membership.
