Entertainment pundit, Vida Adutwumwaa is of the view that the state must punish Ebenezer Smith for the grand deception.
She is of the view that he needs to be punished to serve as a deterrent to others.
To her, if he’s left to go Scot free, other people may also engage in similar acts because nothing happened to Smith.
“He should not be left Scot free. Why he has done is criminal and must be punished. If he is not punished, other people will also do same.
We should not encourage such things. A media house covered the whole cook-a-thon for a whole month not knowing it was fake,” he said.
“If we don’t punish such a person, we will wake up one morning and someone will go and swear an oath that he is the new president and after that come and cry to us that he is sorry,” she said.
