General Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua has assured members of the political party of winning the 2024 elections.
He says even though the turnout across the country is low, the NPP agents across the country must be vigilant to ensure that the elections are not rigged.
Justin Kodua who was addressing the press, said it’s imperative that all agents of the party are vigilant as the votes are about to be counted.
“It has become very important that I address you at the time. As the general secretary of the New Patriotic Party and director of operations for this campaign, right from morning we have been monitoring the situation across the country.
I will commend the men on the grounds for giving us accurate information about the turnout across the country. I must admit that the turnout in the sixteen regions are very low. One average the turnout are around 50-65%. At this time around, I want to assure our teeming supporters that the New Patriotic Party is winning this elections. What is left is for our agents to be vigilant at this closing stage.
I want to use this opportunity to urge anyone who is yet to cast his/her vote that it is important as part of our democratic dispensation to cast their votes. What I want to send out particularly to our agents in the Volta Region is that I commend you for the work you have done in policing our polling stations to make sure we are not cheated. We are not there yet, we are entering the stage where there will be counting. Let us be vigilant, let us not sleep and make sure the accurate votes are counted,” he said.
Justin Kodua cautioned the Electoral Commission against any form of unprofessional conduct on the part of their staff.
