Mustapha Ussif donates pickup to Yagaba Senior High Technical School

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Yagaba-Kubori and Minister for Youth and Sports, Ussif Mustapha, has donated a brand new pickup to Yagaba Senior High Technical School in the Mamprugu Moaduri District of the North East Region.

The move by the MP seeks to address the transportation challenges faced by the headmaster and staff, who previously relied on motorbikes.

This comes after Vice-President Bawumiia promised to support the school with a vehicle.

The donation is expected to enable the school’s management to run their academic activities more effectively within and outside the region.

The headmaster of the school, Tongo Yidana, commended Ussif Mustapha and Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia for providing the school with a much-needed solution to their transportation challenges.

“According to Honourable Mustapha, the gesture is a result of the vice-president’s promise to the community stakeholders who sometimes appealed to him to get the school a means of transport to aid the administration.”

“So the car came at the right time because we have been struggling even to transport most of our students who access health services in Kubori,” Yidana said.

“Transportation during an emergency period is always a problem. We normally had to take a motorcycle or go to the community to look for a motorcycle to carry our students who were sick at night to nearby health facilities. So, I believe with this donation, the school is now in a better place to deliver its administration in terms of transport and other things.”

The MP had previously donated a 17-seater bus to the Kubori Nurses and Midwifery Training College.

Meanwhile, the Yagaba-Kubori constituency communication officer of the NPP, Mahama Tia Mutaru, revealed to Asaase News that the MP has purchased another brand-new pickup, which is ready to be donated to the principal of the Kubori Nurses and Midwifery Training College.
