MTN Ghana localised ownership hits 30%

MTN Ghana has made a significant progress on the localisation of Scancom PLC and Mobile Money Limited.

MTN’s localization refers to the company’s efforts to increase local investment in its operating companies across Africa.

According to MTN Ghana’s Q3 performance report, it has achieved an additional 2.1% localisation bringing the current localisation from 27.9% to 30%.

“MTN Ghana has maintained its unwavering dedication to localizing Scancom PLC and MobileMoney
Limited in compliance with regulations, achieving significant progress in this endeavor.”

“In the third quarter, an additional 2.1% localisation was achieved bringing the current localization of Scancom
PLC to 30%.”

The company further announced plans to finalize the localization of Mobile Money Limited in partnership wth the regulatory authorities.

“We are working with the relevant regulatory authorities to finalize the localization of MobileMoney
Limited,” the report said.
