Mahama’s Government Will Prioritize Results and Hold Officials Accountable – Mogtari

Joyce Bawah Mogtari, special aide to former President John Dramani Mahama, has shared insights on what the nation’s progress might look like during the second coming of Mahama following his landslide electoral victory.

During an interview on Starr FM, Mogtari emphasized that Mahama’s leadership focus will be on ensuring efficiency, with a special emphasis on effective implementation, supervision, and monitoring of governance.

Mogtari stressed that a president’s success hinges not just on the vision and policies they put forward but also on the competence of those appointed to key positions. She explained that while strong leadership is important, it is the oversight of these appointees that truly ensures the government functions as intended.

“A president’s effectiveness can be undermined if the individuals assisting in governance are not properly supervised,” she stated. “It’s essential that those in positions of power are closely monitored to ensure they are delivering results and using their skills to benefit the country.”

In line with this, Mogtari made it clear that Mahama’s administration would not hesitate to scrutinize underperforming officials. She emphasized that those who fail to meet expectations would be subject to dismissal.

“We are not in the business of tolerating inefficiency,” she noted. “Anyone not contributing effectively to the administration’s goals will be held accountable.”

She also pointed out that, unlike the situation with Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia under the current government, Mahama’s administration would ensure strict adherence to standards.
