Lois Koranteng’s Death: IGP Apologizes for hoarding info from family

The Ghana Police Service has announced that the Inspector General of Police George Akuffo Dampare has contacted the family of the late  Lois Koranteng to console them and apologize for hoarding information.

When News broke that Lois had died, the family indicated that the Police had failed to engage them on their investigation.

This move by the Police wasn’t reassuring to the family that suspected their daughter had been murdered and dumped into a pool.

But a statement from the Police conceded that they had hoarded information from the family which led to attacks on social media.

However, they have resolved the issue by apologizing to the family and admitting their fault.

The Police have assured the family of the ongoing investigation to bring finality to the death of the 24-year-old.

Adding that they are ready to visit the family to provide them with updates on their investigation at their convenience.
