The Ghana Police Service has announced that Lois Koranteng died of Asphyxia, severe pulmonary edema and drowning in a pool.
Reports from various social media platforms linked her death to murder and called out her organization.
The Police were chastised by the family and other social media users for not being forthcoming with information.
But a statement from the Police apologised for the lack of communication indicating that the Inspector General of Police had contacted the family.
The Police indicated that an autopsy was performed in the presence of the family at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital where it was discovered that she died as a result of Asphyxia, severe pulmonary edema and drowning in a pool.
Lois Koranteng was said to have visited Takoradi with her boss on a business trip.
However, she was found dead in a pool at the hotel they lodged.
Her brother who shared the information on social media suspected she was murdered because the Police were tight-lipped about the development.
