Kwesi Appiah is hoping that Ghana and Sudan will qualify for the 2025 AFCON after his side were drawn with Ghana in Group F of the 2025 African Cup of Nations to be held in Morocco.
Appiah, who previously led Ghana to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil is now the head coach for Sudan, where he aims to make a significant impact.

“I’ve always said there is [are] no minnows in football now,” he remarked in an exclusive interview with 3Sports.
“It is really important that any team you meet, you prepare very well and make sure you have the right team to try and win the day.”
“Personally, I also think and hope Ghana and Sudan qualify in that group. For now, I think that is what I can say and I wish both teams the best,” Appiah added.
Under his guidance, Sudan currently leads Group B in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, ahead of formidable opponents like Senegal and DR Congo.
