Former President John Agyekum Kufuor says a vote for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Presidential Candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will drive Ghana’s economic transformation.
Mr Kufuor lauded Dr Bawumia’s exceptional skills in economic management, recalling his instrumental role during Kufuor’s administration when he worked alongside the Bank of Ghana to stabilise the local currency.
In an interaction with journalists on Sunday (17 November) the former President encouraged Ghanaians to support Dr. Bawumia’s bid for the presidency, highlighting his ability to foster rapid economic growth.
“Given the current global circumstances, I firmly believe that Ghana’s economy will experience significant improvement if Bawumia is elected as President. With divine guidance, he is capable of delivering on this promise, and I encourage you to support his candidacy,” Kufuor stated.
He further noted Dr. Bawumia’s contributions during his tenure as part of the Bank of Ghana’s team under Governor Dr. Paul Acquah, emphasizing his critical role in revitalizing Ghana’s economy.
