The event took place at a gathering of party supporters and local leaders in Tongo, the capital of the Talensi District in the Upper East Region.
John Mahama praised Daniel Mahama’s dedication to the community and his vision for development in the area.

He emphasized the need for improved infrastructure, better educational facilities, and increased job opportunities for the youth.
The introduction of Daniel Mahama is seen as a strategic move to energize the party’s base in the region and appeal to undecided voters.
