English-born Ghanaian defender, Jarell Quansah has shared his disappointment after being subbed off in Liverpool’s Premier League opener against Ipswich Town.The 21-year old centre-back was handed a starting role when Liverpool cruised to a 2-0 over their opponent in the thrilling encounter.However, Quansah, who was subbed off at halftime in an interview with TimeSports said, “It’s never a nice feeling as a footballer to be subbed off at half-time,” Quansah says. “But at the end of the day, it was the gaffer’s decision — obviously it worked.He continued that, “I can only focus on myself and try to improve. I purposely trained the next day so I could get it out of my head and kick on and look forward”The talented Ghanaian defender has made only one appearance for Liverpool after three matches into the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.He was not involved in his outfit last two games against Brentford and Manchester United in the Premier League.Quansah will be hoping to earn more playing time under new manager Arne Slot.
