Leader and founder Presidential candidate of Movement for Change Hon. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen has promised to make sure the Greater Kumasi Industrial City and Special Economic Zone project at Ejisu is completed if elected as President in the December 7 polls.
“If elected as President, I will build the biggest projects which can turn the fortunes of the country”, Mr Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen told Ejisu Manhene Nana Afrane Okese at his Palace on October 3, 2024, during a courtesy call on him.
“I want every Ghanaian to know that there is something big coming into the country which is the Greater Kumasi Industrial City and Special Economic Zone”, he added.
Speaking at the Palace of the Ejisu Manhene Nana Afrane Okese, Mr Alan Kyerematen revealed that the Chief was part of those who drafted the whole project.
According to Mr Kyerematen, the project will cost $2.5 billion.
Explaining issues to Nana Afrane Okese IV, Alan noted revealed that, he single-handedly secured a Word Bank funding of $30 million for the project to begin, proof that he has Asnteman and Ejisu at heart.
Alan also said he went further to the government of the Korean Republic and secured another $100 million for the face of one of the projects.
He argued that, though the government has already started the Boankra Inland Port, the port alone cannot move the industrialization agenda he has been championing hence the need for the industrial city.
Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen is on a 19-day campaign tour in the Ashanti Region.
