Rapper King Paluta says he was sad when he heard a Rev Father had been forced to apologize for singing his Aseda Hitsong in Church.
According to him, Aseda is not profane nor does it teach bad morals in the church, so he is shocked that a Rev Father will be forced to apologize just because he sang a song to praise the name of the almighty.
He was speaking on Accra-based OKAY FM when he made this known.
“I will tell the Pastor we are together. Anytime I see something like this I get sad. Aseda is not a song that teaches bad morals in society or the church. The content is rather teaching forgiveness among others which will make children better people. I get down by such actions but in a human institution, you have different kinds of people so…”
Acting Rector of St. Stephen Rectorate, Bodomase, Rev. Father Peter Kusi Twumasi, has rendered an unqualified apology for singing King Paluta’s Aseda in church.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, the Rev. Father was spotted singing King Paluta’s hit single, Aseda, to buttress his point of praise for God.
However, a letter spotted by MyNewsGh.com suggests that the Rev. Father has apologized to the leadership of his church for his actions.
According to him, he was carried away and let his guard down for a secular song to enter the sacred space.
His apology letter indicated that he had no intention to disrespect the traditions of the church.
