I Urge All Ghanaians to Participate Peacefully in the Voting Process – Bawumia

Vice President of Ghana and New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has lauded the Ghanaian electorate and the Electoral Commission for their commendable conduct during the ongoing election process.

His remarks came shortly after he cast his vote at around 8 am in Walewale, his hometown in the North East Region.

Speaking to the press, Dr. Bawumia expressed optimism about the peaceful nature of the elections, highlighting the importance of maintaining order at polling stations across the country.

“I am very pleased with the conduct I have witnessed so far. The people of Ghana, as well as the officials of the Electoral Commission, are showing exemplary behaviour.

It’s something we can all be proud of,” he said with a sense of pride.

The Vice President also called on citizens to exercise their democratic right by turning out in large numbers to vote.

“Elections are a key pillar of our democracy. I encourage every Ghanaian eligible to vote to participate in the process peacefully.

This is how we build the future of our country—through dialogue and ballots, not discord,” he emphasized.
