I have a ‘righteous anger’ – Dr Ayine debunks claims of being temperamental

Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bolgatanga East Constituency Dr Dominic Ayine has dismissed claims that he has a volatile temper and sometimes vents his anger inappropriately, explaining that he does not get angry pointlessly but gets angry about issues that deserve his anger.

He explained that once he is convinced that an issue that incurs his wrath needs to be addressed, he addresses it bluntly without worrying about whose ox will be gored in the process. He described his kind of anger as ‘righteous anger’.

“Things are happening in this constituency. And I keep quiet over them. Many of you hear them say the MP is temperamental. But I don’t get angry for nothing. I have, what we call, righteous anger. When there is nonsense taking place, I don’t mind who is involved, I will tell you to your face,” he explained to his constituents after filing his nomination forms to contest the Bolgatanga East parliamentary election come December 7, 2024.

Dr Ayine, who is a former Deputy Attorney General and Minister of Justice, urged his constituents to retain him as their legislator so that he can continue to represent them properly in Parliament and bring them development.

He touted his achievements in education, water and sanitation and other sectors to drum home the need for the people to continue to trust him.

He faces competition from Matthew Silas Amoah of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
