The Ho Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Divine Bosson, has made a passionate appeal to the constituents of Ho Central, urging them to back his parliamentary ambitions.
At a press briefing on Tuesday (3 December), Bosson outlined his administration’s achievements, positioning himself as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) candidate for the Ho Central constituency in the 2024 elections.
Bosson highlighted several transformative projects under his leadership. Among the most notable is the construction of a modern office complex for the assembly, along with ongoing works on an official residence for the MCE and a two-bedroom, ten-unit staff bungalow under the government’s affordable housing scheme.
The MCE also revealed plans to expand the municipality’s policing capabilities with the imminent completion of three new police stations.
These additions will create three policing districts, supported by a divisional command, aimed at enhancing security in the area.
In the realm of market infrastructure, over 130 new shops with auxiliary facilities are being constructed at the Ho Central Market, promising a boost to local commerce.
Bosson also pointed to significant road network improvements, citing projects like the Cemetery-Barracks bypass and the OLA bypass, which aim to enhance connectivity within the municipality.
The MCE took pride in social infrastructure projects such as the AstroTurf development at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) Dave campus and the construction of 20 boreholes to improve water access in peri-urban communities.
According to Bosson, these initiatives, alongside other ongoing efforts, have significantly improved living standards for residents.
Reflecting on his tenure, Bosson expressed confidence in his track record, stating that his administration had laid a strong foundation for Ho’s elevation to metropolitan status.
The MCE’s parliamentary bid has garnered the backing of the NPP’s Ho Central constituency chairman, Frank Ahaze, who called on the media to amplify the achievements of Bosson’s administration.
As election campaigns heat up, Bosson remains steadfast in his appeal, promising further developments to propel the municipality into a new era of growth and prosperity.
