Labour unions across the country are striking today, Monday, July 15, 2024, across the country.
The move is to register their displeasure with the government’s failed attempt at selling SSNIT hotels to Rock City Hotel, owned by an appointee of the government.
Even though the sale has been called off, Labour Unions in the country have given further reasons why their strike won’t be called off anytime soon.
Labour unions are asking for The board and management of SSNIT and the NPRA to be dissolved immediately.
Also, they are asking for the employment minister, and the Agric Minister to subsequently be fired by the President.
Until these are met, all labour unions will vacate their posts.
