A lecturer at the University of Ghana Political Science Department, Prof. Ransford Gyampo, has questioned people who are given leadership roles in Ghana.
To him, leadership must be seen as a serious business in the country if Ghana wants to see the needed development.
Gyampo made this position known when he was reacting to the Majority Chief Whip’s comment on Galamsey.
He said, “The NDC has polluted water bodies more than the NPP”. Should this statement be made by an educated MP who has been elected to help solve our problems? Governance is too serious a business to be left in the hands of just anybody!”.
Frank Annoh-Dompreh in a heated argument in Parliament said the NDC polluted more water bodies than the NPP has done in their eight years in power.
“I am very happy when the Minority leader challenged us that we will debate this matter and the culprit will be mentioned. In fact, we are ready to debate now.
If we are to look and investigate both sides of the house, you have had the opportunity to rule this country. I can tell you, you’ve polluted the water more than us,” he said.
