Government to recruit over 15,000 nurses and midwives from August

The Ministry of Health has announced plans to recruit 15,200 Nurses and Midwives to boost health care delivery across the country.

It comes after the Ministry of Finance issued financial clearance for the recruitment.

A statement issued and signed by the chief director of the Ministry of Health on Friday (26 July) said the recruitment will commence from Monday (5 August).

“The Ministry of Health wishes to inform the general public that, the Ministry of Finance has issued Financial Clearance to recruit 15,200 Nurses and Midwives.”

“Recruitment will commence on Monday 5th August, 2023 T 12noon,” the statement said.
