Entertainment pundit, Vida Adutwumwaa is of the view that Ghana’s Movie industry will struggle to get back on its feet.
In rrecent times, some movie actors and actresses have blamed the failure of the industry on juju in the industry.
Reacting to the position expressed by the actors and actresses, Vida Adutwumwaa indicated that it will be difficult to addes the issue.
“The problems of the movie industry will not end anytime soon. Imagine when a big player calls them into one room to decipher the cause of the industry’s failure then people start blaming it on juju, lack of funding, stereotype characterization,” she said.
As of now, we do not have the right cause of their failure as an industry. It is imperative that they sit and identify the root cause of their failure in order to be able to address it. That is when policymakers will also take them seriously.
We are entering the season and if this is how they’ll go about things then it will take the movie industry years to gain the needed relevance,” she said on UTV.
