Ghana international, Thomas Partey featured for Arsenal on Wednesday evening when the team hammered Bayer Leverkusen 4-1 in a friendly encounter.The Black Stars midfielder missed out on a starting role for his English club in the friendly against the German champions.In the game played at the Emirates Stadium, Thomas Partey had the chance to play in the second half when he was introduced to replace midfielder Jorginho in the 63rd minute.He put on a good performance after coming on with Arsenal scoring a fourth goal just two minutes after his introduction through a strike from Kai Havertz.Before that equalizer, goals from Oleksandr Zinchenko, Leandro Trossard, and Gabriel Jesus had put Arsenal in control with Bayer Leverkusen struggling to contain the English side.The only consolation goal for the German Champions was scored by Adam Hlozak in the 76th minute.Thomas Partey and his Arsenal teammates will take on Olympic Lyon on Sunday before wrapping up pre-season ahead of the start of the 2024/25 English Premier League season.
