Ghana midfielder Forson Amankwah set to join Norwich City on a longterm deal

Ghana international, Forson Amankwah is close to joining English outfit Norwich City.Several reports in the last 24 hours have indicated that Norwich City have agreed on a deal to sign the youngster from Red Bull Salzburg on a long-term deal.It is understood that Forson Amankwah would sign a four-year contract to become a new Norwich City player before the summer transfer window shuts.Forson Amankwah, 21, moved to Europe in 2021 when he signed for Red Bull Salzburg from Ghanaian outfit West African Football Academy.He spent the first two seasons out on loan at Liefering and Rheindorf Altach before getting his first team shot at Salzburg last season.During that campaign, he made 27 appearances for Salzburg across all competitions and had the opportunity to debut in the Uefa Champions League.In the past year, he has also debuted for the Black Stars and is now part of the new generation of players in the Ghana national team.After his success last season, he is now set to join Norwich as new manager Johannes Hoff Thorup is keen on working with the Ghanaian talent.
