GFA to announce new Ghana Premier League broadcasting rights holder soon - Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe

Ghana Football Association's Head of Public Relations and Strategy, Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe has revealed a new broadcast rights holder for the Ghana Premier League will announced soon. The country's topflight is currently without a broadcaster after the Football Association ended the contract with StarTimes.StarTimes were awarded a five-year deal to broadcast the Premier League and the FA Cup in 2020However, following the conclusion of the 2023/24 football season, the Ghana FA have parted ways with the Chinese-based television network with the reason behind the termination of the contract yet to be made known.With the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season set to get underway this weekend at the various stadia, Mr Armstrong-Mortagbe speaking on Kumasi-based Pure FM hinted that a new broadcast rights holder will be announced soon by close of this week.It has been earlier reported that Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) have expressed interest in broadcasting the Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup.

Ghana Football Association's Head of Public Relations and Strategy, Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe has revealed a new broadcast rights holder for the Ghana Premier League will announced soon. 

The country's topflight is currently without a broadcaster after the Football Association ended the contract with StarTimes.

StarTimes were awarded a five-year deal to broadcast the Premier League and the FA Cup in 2020

However, following the conclusion of the 2023/24 football season, the Ghana FA have parted ways with the Chinese-based television network with the reason behind the termination of the contract yet to be made known.
