Ghana Football Association President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku visited the family of late former Premier League top scorer Hans Kwofie in his hometown of Dompim Pepesa, near Tarkwa, on Friday, August 15, 2024.During this heartfelt visit, Simeon-Okraku paid his last respects to the Medeama SC and AshantiGold cult hero, who tragically passed away in an accident on June 21, 2024.Simeon-Okraku expressed his condolences to Kwofie's family and assured them of the Football Association's support in providing a dignified farewell for the celebrated footballer.Kwofie, aged 35, enjoyed a remarkable career, achieving cult status at his boyhood club, Medeama SC. He also excelled at AshantiGold, where he helped the team win three Premier League and claimed the Ghana Premier League top scorer award in 2017.Additionally, Kwofie played for clubs including Heart of Lions, Legon Cities, and Aduana Stars, while also featuring for Qatari club Al-Oruba and Egyptian outfit Smouha FC.Kwofie was laid to rest on Saturday, August 17, 2024.
