Ghanaian football has been plunged into mourning following the tragic death of former Legon Cities striker, Hans Kwofie, in a car accident on Friday afternoon.The incident occurred near Dadwen, close to Tarkwa in the Western Region of Ghana.Hans Kwofie, who was 35, was reportedly in a vehicle owned by Samuel Nzemaba, a former defender for Ghanaian football powerhouses, Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, according to initial reports from the scene.Asante Kotoko, affectionately known as the Porcupine Warriors, expressed their deep sorrow on their social media platforms, stating, "We are devastated by the sad news that former #GPL top scorer, Hans Kwofie, has died in a traffic collision yesterday.
