Tamale North Member of Parliament, Alahassan Suhuyini is of the view that signing a pact will not end the galamsey menace.
However, there will be a need for the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to resign from his position as President.
This is because the president had in the past indicated that he will put his presidency on the line for the fight against illegal mining.
However, the fight against illegal mining has filed woefully considering the state of some water bodies in the country.
Alhassan Suhuyini in a post shared via social media urging the President to resign said “Instead of calling for political parties to sign a galamsay pact, ask the president who promised to put his presidency on the line to RESIGN NOW! Or he can’t find the line?
Stop the gimmicks and jokes, this is about lives and livelihoods. It’s about our collective survival.
