I took a break from acting to build more brands – Emeka Ike
In a recent interview with NollyNow, renowned Nollywood actor Emeka Ike reflected on his break from the entertainment industry, revealing that his time away enabled him to establish additional iconic brands and achieve significant personal growth.
Following his highly anticipated return to acting, Emeka Ike shared his inspiring journey, highlighting the numerous accomplishments and milestones he attained during his absence from the spotlight.”
“My absence wasn’t really bad because it created room for me to build more brands apart from Emeka Ike you know. I now own Nollywood TV on Startimes and I am building other brands that are highly in demand,”Emeka Ike stated. He added that his absence from the industry also provided him with the opportunity to delve into politics.
Recall that Emeka Ike, disappeared from the screen, after his marriage to half-Dutch and half-Nigerian Suzanne crashed. The marriage, which was contracted in 2000 and blessed with four children, crashed in 2015.
Nigerian gamer smashes world record
A Nigerian gamer has set a new Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest video game marathon playing a football game.
Oside Oluwole, also known as “Khoded,” managed to play continuously for 75 hours, surpassing the previous record of 50 hours set by Englishman David Whitefoot in 2022.
The 24-year-old, a qualified biochemist who currently works as a car dealer, undertook the gruelling challenge to raise money for a local hospital in his hometown of Ijebu Ode.

Temi Otedola, the daughter of Nigeria billionaire Femi Otedola, has poured out her heart on social media to celebrate her partner, Mr Eazi, on his birthday.

I got more than I expected from suing CAF, says Spiky
Ghanaian beatmaker and tech enthusiast Kwabena Ofei-Kwadey Nkrumah, also known as Kobby Spiky, has stated that he received more than he bargained for after arguing that the Confederation of African Football used his music material without permission in the run-up to the 2018 CAF Awards.
Spiky won a case at the Commercial Court 7 in Accra after suing CAF for using sections of his ‘Okomfo Anokye’ beats in promotional materials for the 2018 CAF Awards.
The court ruled that CAF must pay US$250,000 to Spiky.
Speaking on Asaase’s Artsy on Saturday (20 July), Spiky said, “I got more than I expected from the lawsuit. My expectations were very millage. I didn’t go in expecting that much.”
