As the highly anticipated release of EA Sports FC 25 approaches on Friday (27 September), the official player ratings have been revealed.
While Kylian Mbappé, Rodri, and Erling Haaland top the male rankings with a 91 overall rating, Ghana’s top players also shine in this year’s edition.
At asaaseradio.com, we take a closer look at the highest-rated Ghanaian footballers in the game:
1. Mohammed Kudus | RM | 82
Skill | Rating | Change |
PAC | 90 | 0 |
SHO | 77 | +3 |
PAS | 73 | +2 |
DRI | 86 | +2 |
DEF | 60 | +1 |
PHY | 75 | 0 |
After an impressive debut season in the English Premier League (EPL) with David Moyes’ West Ham, where he scored 18 goals and assisted eight more in 48 games, Kudus has seen his overall rating for the EA Sports FC 25 go up by three from 79 in the previous iteration of the game and see him join Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey as the joint highest rated Ghanaian players in the game.
1. Thomas Partey | CDM | 82
Skill | Rating | Change |
PAC | 62 | -6 |
SHO | 71 | 0 |
PAS | 80 | -2 |
DRI | 77 | -3 |
DEF | 79 | -2 |
PHY | 82 | 0 |
After a season ravaged by injury and making a total of 16 appearances for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, Partey—who was Ghana’s highest-rated player in EA Sports FC 24—rating take a huge decline, dropping from 85 overall to 82 overall in the upcoming game.
He is still Ghana’s highest-rated player; however, he will now share the crown with two other players, Mohammed Kudus and Iñaki Williams.
1. Iñaki Williams | RM | 82
Skill | Rating | Change |
PAC | 94 | 0 |
SHO | 81 | +3 |
PAS | 72 | +1 |
DRI | 80 | +1 |
DEF | 45 | +2 |
PHY | 84 | 0 |
30-year-old Iñaki Williams had his best season for Athletic Club in terms of goal contributions since his 20 goal contributions (15 goals and five assists) back in the 2018/2019 season.
The Ghanaian forward would impress, scoring 14 goals and assisting a further five goals to help the club end their 40-year trophy drought, winning the Copa del Rey.
This has seen Williams raise his overall from 81 to 82 in EA Sports FC, making him the joint highest-rated Ghanaian player alongside Thomas Partey and Mohammed Kudus.
He also still remains one of the fastest players in the game with his 94 pace, which is the joint eighth highest in the game.
4. Alexander Djiku | CB | 79
Skill | Rating | Change |
PAC | 75 | +9 |
SHO | 43 | 0 |
PAS | 67 | +1 |
DRI | 69 | +2 |
DEF | 79 | +3 |
PHY | 81 | +1 |
Alexander Djiku has gone up by three overall in EA Sports FC 25 from 76 overall to 79 overall after an impressive 2023/2024 season, with Trendyol Süper Lig giants Fenerbahçe SK scoring three goals and assisting two in the 36 games he played for the side that season.
He was also one of the few shining lights in Ghana’s dismal 2024 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), as the Black Stars failed to secure a single victory and were knocked out in the Group Stage of the competition.
5. Joseph Aidoo | CB | 78
Skill | Rating | Change |
PAC | 75 | 0 |
SHO | 27 | 0 |
PAS | 47 | 0 |
DRI | 50 | 0 |
DEF | 77 | -1 |
PHY | 88 | 0 |
A ruptured Achilles tendon sustained during an international friendly match against Mexico while representing the Black Stars brought an end to Joseph Aidoo’s 2023/2024 season as the Ghanaian would be ruled out for nine months.
The Ghanaian would only make six appearances for LaLiga outfit RC Celta de Vigo, assisting a single goal.
This has seen Adioo’s overall in EA Sports FC 25 drop from 79 to 78, with the only difference coming in his defensive stats, which have dropped from 78 to 77.
6. Salis Abdul Samed | CDM | 76
Skill | Rating | Change |
PAC | 60 | -2 |
SHO | 49 | +2 |
PAS | 66 | 0 |
DRI | 69 | -2 |
DEF | 74 | -2 |
PHY | 79 | -1 |
After a season that saw 24-year-old Salis Abdul Samed miss only eight of RC Lens’ 43-game season, making 35 appearances for the Ligue 1 side, the Ghanian has seen his overall drop by two in EA Sports FC 25 from 78 to 76.
Here’s hoping that his loan move to EFL Championship side Sunderland AFC will see an improvement in the Ghanaian’s rating.
6. Abdul Fatawu Issahaku | RW | 76
Skill | Rating | Change |
PAC | 84 | +2 |
SHO | 73 | +4 |
PAS | 74 | +9 |
DRI | 78 | +4 |
DEF | 44 | +9 |
PHY | 64 | +10 |
Leicester City’s Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has seen the biggest upgrade among his Ghanaian peers as the 20-year-old forward has gone from a 69 overall in EA Sports FC 24 to a 76 overall in EA Sports FC 25—a seven-point increase.
This is due to the Ghanaian’s impressive 2023/2024 season with the Foxes in the EFL Championship, where he scored seven goals and assisted 13 (justifying the nine-point rise in his passing) to help the team claim the EFL Championship trophy and return to the English Premier League this season.
6. Mohammed Salisu | CB | 76
Skill | Rating | Change |
PAC | 63 | -5 |
SHO | 36 | 0 |
PAS | 50 | 0 |
DRI | 54 | +1 |
DEF | 77 | 0 |
PHY | 79 | 0 |
Injury hampered 25-year-old Mohammed Salisu’s progression in his debut season with Ligue 1 side AS Monaco, as an Adductor injury early on in the season saw the Ghanaian miss out on four months of the 2023/2024 season, returning in December and making his debut against Stade Rennais.
Two months later, the defender would suffer a hamstring injury, returning in March. Overall, the Salisu would make 13 appearances for AS Monaco, assisting a single goal.
This has seen the Ghanaian’s pace drop from 68 to 63. However, his overall has not dropped and is still at 76 in EA Sports FC 25.
6. Antoine Semenyo | RM | 76
Skill | Rating | Change |
PAC | 85 | +3 |
SHO | 72 | +4 |
PAS | 67 | +8 |
DRI | 77 | +7 |
DEF | 27 | +5 |
PHY | 75 | +3 |
Another candidate for the most improved Ghanaian player on EA Sports FC 25 as AFC Bournemouth’s forward Antoine Semenyo has seen a massive upgrade in the latest edition of the game, moving from 70 overall to 76 overall.
This follows a season that saw the forward score eight goals and assist two as Bournemouth finished in 12th place and with the Ghanaian kicking off the 2024/2025 season with a bang, we may see further upgrades in the future.
10. Jordan Ayew | RW | 75
Skill | Rating | Change |
PAC | 71 | -3 |
SHO | 73 | +1 |
PAS | 71 | +2 |
DRI | 78 | +1 |
DEF | 57 | +2 |
PHY | 74 | +1 |
Jordan Ayew’s rating has gone up by one from 74 to 75 overall. This comes following a season that has seen the Ghanaian score four goals and assist a further eight in an impressive Oliver Glasner Crystal Palace team that finished in tenth place on the English Premier League table in 2023/2024.
10. Iddrisu Baba | CDM | 75
Skill | Rating | Change |
PAC | 61 | 0 |
SHO | 64 | -2 |
PAS | 66 | -2 |
DRI | 68 | -1 |
DEF | 71 | -1 |
PHY | 76 | -1 |
28-year-old Iddrisu Baba has seen his overall drop from 76 to 75 overall in a season that saw the midfielder loaned out to UD Almería in the LaLiga in a bid to help the team stave off the threat of relegation.
However, it would not work out as UD Almería would end the season relegated to LaLiga 2 with Baba making 26 appearances for the team along the way.
10. Tariq Lamptey | RB | 75
Skill | Rating | Change |
PAC | 85 | 0 |
SHO | 44 | 0 |
PAS | 66 | 0 |
DRI | 77 | 0 |
DEF | 70 | 0 |
PHY | 50 | -1 |
Tariq Lamptey’s overall remains unchanged at 75, with the only difference coming in his physical stats, which have dropped from 51 to 50.
Lamptey made 26 appearances for Brighton & Hove Albion during the 2023/2024 season, assisting five goals and playing a myriad of roles for head coach Roberto De Zerbi as the Seagulls finished in 11th place.
10. Joseph Paintsil | RM | 75
Skill | Rating | Change |
PAC | 90 | 0 |
SHO | 70 | 0 |
PAS | 68 | +2 |
DRI | 78 | 0 |
DEF | 33 | 0 |
PHY | 73 | 0 |
Joseph Paintsil maintained his 75 overall rating in EA Sports FC 25, with a slight increase to his passing stats, rising from 66 to 68.
The Ghanaian forward played a total of 60 games in the 2023/2024 season for two clubs, KRC Genk in Belgium and LA Galaxy in the United States, scoring 18 goals and assisting 12.
