Dr Kabiru  worked for his victory in NPP Primaries in Walewale  – Witness tells Court

Mr Musah Bukari who was also his polling agent for Dr Kabiru Mahama during the January 27, 2024 New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Primary in the Walewale Constituency has told a Tamale High Court that he worked for his victory.

Musah Bukari who is the 6th witness of the 1st Defendant In his evidence in chief,  stated “  I can say without any fear of contradiction that 1st Defendant worked for the victory he won and the jubilation after the fair and transparent process is ample confirmation of the sheer love he enjoys from delegates of 2nd Defendant and members of the Walewale Constituency who eagerly wait to vote to make him their Member of Parliament in December 2024”.

He further stated that Polling Station Secretary for LA Primary School Sagadugu (P.S Code: Q012802A) Tia Haruna voted once as a duly accredited voter without any problem or protestation whatsoever, and he would not have known about the error associated his name being duplicated in the album at the time of voting.

“It was understood that his name was mistakenly repeated in place of Sulemana Kasim, Polling Station Secretary for P.S Code: Q012802B, who, having his name in the original register, was also duly accredited, voted once with indelible ink marked on his finger like all other voters to prevent double voting”, the witness added.

Mr Musah continued that “Polling Station Chairman for LA Primary School Sagadugu (P.S Code: Q012802A) Sumani Salifu, faced a similar problem as it was discovered, without his knowledge, that his name was mistakenly repeated in place of Sulemana Nantogmah, Polling Station Chairman for P.S Code: Q012802B, and this was resolved similarly to avoid disenfranchising any of them for not fault of theirs over what was a genuine error”.

He submitted to the court as evidence the source document (Exhibit 6) from which the election album was compiled to highlight his case that Haruna and Salifu were not duplicates per Se but a genuine error
