Black Stars lack commitment and passion - Ex-Sports Minister, Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah
Former Youth and Sports Minister, Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah has questioned the passion and commitment level of the playing body of the Black Stars.His question comes after the Black Stars were held to a 1-1 draw against the Super Eagles of Niger in their second Group F game.Despite Alidu Seidu breaking the deadlock in the 44th minute, the Nigeriens levelled through Oumar Sako with 10 minutes to end the game.The results leave Ghana at the 3rd spot in Group F with just a point.Reflecting on the performance of the Black Stars against Niger, Mr Afriyie-Ankrah questioned the passion and commitment level of the players."There is no commitment and passion to die for the country in this Black Stars," he told Kumasi-based Akoma FM.Ghana opened their qualifying series with a 1-0 defeat against Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium last week Thursday.Otto Addo and his charges will aim to secure their first win in the qualifiers when they take on Sudan in a doubleheader in October.
