Ghana’s Black Princesses will begin their World Cup journey today as they face Austria in their opening fixture.
The Princesses are hoping for a glorifying start to their journey in the U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Ghana’s head coach, Yusif Basigi, in an interview ahead of the game, indicated that his lads are prepared to give a good account of themselves.
He is in high spirits, noticing that struggles with the weather have been dealt with after engaging in some International friendlies.
“From Day One where we had challenges with the altitude, they struggled a little bit and after one week, they were okay and then we played a game and they showed signs of readiness. As for me, I’m highly motivated. I look cool because it is not every coach that will get this opportunity so when you get it, utilize it very well. There is no pressure on me, I am motivated actually to take part in I would say my second edition,” he said.
