Actor Big Akwes has warned against backwardness in the drive to revive the movie industry in Ghana.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, the actor used the opportunity to thank owner of the SG Mall in Kumasi for his decision to invest in the industry.
He preached against any form of backbiting indicating that it is time stakeholders put their acts together and work to make the investment worthwhile.
Big Akwes also spoke about content being churned out indicating that it’s about time quality and thought provoking content is put out for consumers.
”We should be grateful to the owner of the SG Mall who has decided to invest in the industry. I hope that this investment is not wasted.
What I want is that producers use the right cast and pay them well to ensure that success is achieved. We don’t want to hear cast have been cheated among other things like it was done in the past.
Also, I believe that times have travelled and there are discerning people watching us. They should ensure that the content they churn out are also top notch so that the interest of audience will be whipped up,” he said.
