Berekum Chelsea suffering because our coach juggles national team and Club – Bankroller

Bankroller of Berekum Chelsea, Nana Kwame Nketia, has insisted that clubs that have their first-team coaches as national team coaches are struggling.

He is of the view that the Ghana Football Association needs to do something about these appointments as it is hurting the performances of teams in the Ghana Premier League.

Nana Kwame Nketia was speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM when he made these known.

“This is the reason why we are where we are placed on the league log. It is affecting us because if the assistant coach is unable to deliver. When our coach left for the national team, we had a lot of one points. So I suggest that if they appoint coaches, they should appoint them permanently and pay them because they go and they don’t even get paid. We pay them when they go to the national team,” he said.

“If Ghana had qualified in Nigeria, we wouldn’t have agreed for him to continue to be our coach. I think that he has to stay with the team because I think his salary is good. The season is not bad even though it has been tough. We are still on course to achieve our target as a club,” he said.
