Bawumia’s reply to ‘Bawuliar’ question was to expose NDC – Dr Agyekum

Dr. Ezekiel Agyekum-Obeng, a member of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) communication team has disclosed that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s response to the popular tag “Bawuliar” question was not to jab the president but to expose the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) for cooking lies about him.

According to Dr Agyekum-Obeng, Dr Bawumia only allowed the “Bawuliar” narrative to trend because he wanted to ease the atmosphere. He added that Dr Bawumia’s silence did not validate the perception that he is a liar and failed to execute all he promised the people of Ghana.

“Asking Dr Bawumia this question about this “Bawuliar” tag will not change the fortunes of the country or his integrity. Most journalists who attended the Meet the Press even confirmed that Dr Bawumia has integrity. The only problem was they wanted an assurance from him.”

“All those journalists who had the opportunity to ask Dr Bawumia questions can bear me witness to how the Vice President is and how he works. If we put Bawumia on a scale in this country, I’m positive that most of the revelations will be positive”. He stressed.

 According to Dr Agyekum, Dr Bawumia cannot change the narrative when it comes to the perception the NDC has about him. However, he determines the narrative and how Ghanaians should see him; his intelligence, brilliance,  emotional intelligence, humbleness and his discretion.

 “We can’t stop what the NDC will say or perceive him to be. We can’t control their narratives”. He stressed.
