Bawumia is the most effective Veep Ghana Has Ever Had -Frederick Ameyaw

Frederick Kofi Ameyaw, the External Affairs Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has hailed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s flagbearer, as the most effective Vice President Ghana has ever had.

Speaking during a panel discussion on TV3’s NewDay, Ameyaw highlighted several of Dr. Bawumia’s notable achievements.

One of the key accomplishments, according to Ameyaw, is the introduction of the Ghana Card, which he described as a groundbreaking initiative.

He emphasized that the card has made it easier for Ghanaians, particularly those residing in the U.S., to travel back to the country. “People now only need to show their Ghana Card when travelling back to the country,” he stated.

Ameyaw also reflected on Dr. Bawumia’s role in the implementation of mobile money interoperability, a policy that was initially ridiculed by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“Dr. Bawumia once said that mobile money interoperability would make it possible for everyone to have a bank account. The NDC mocked him, but today, most financial transactions are carried out through mobile money, and many people now have digital wallets serving as bank accounts,” he pointed out.

In addition to his contributions to the digital economy, Ameyaw noted that Dr. Bawumia played a key role in the distribution of ambulances to each constituency and the provision of earth-moving machines for every district in the country.

Ameyaw further expressed strong criticism of former President John Dramani Mahama, one of Dr. Bawumia’s potential rivals in the upcoming election.

“What I know for a fact is that among all the contestants vying for the presidency, none is more corrupt than John Dramani Mahama.

He has been internationally recognized as ‘Government Official 1,’ and he lacks the credibility to become president again,” Ameyaw asserted.
