Bawumia has admitted challenges with managing the cedi – Dennis Miracles Aboagye

Communications Director for the Dr Mahamudu Bawumia campaign team, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has admitted that his candidate has acknowledged that the country has challenges with managing the Cedi.

However, he explicitly indicates that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has proffered solutions to help support the free-falling Cedi if made president of Ghana.

“Dr Mahamudu Bawumia goes around and says this is what we have achieved in every sector, but we admit we have challenges in the economic sector. For example, he says we have challenges in managing our cedi but this is my solution. I think we need to back our currency with gold and so this is my approach. In terms of jobs, this is my approach. He has never said anywhere that there are no challenges.

In fact, Dr Bawumia is never on record saying that he is not part of this government. What he has done rather is to spend time and outline all the successes of this government and then indicate the government’s challenges and proposes solutions to deal with those challenges,” he said.

This is what the Ghanaian people are going to use to take a decision as to whether they trust somebody who flipflops today says that I don’t believe in Free SHS and if I have 2 billion, I won’t invest in it, but tomorrow he says he will do. Today the former President is campaigning against his own campaign. He went to a constituency to say because the economy is bad, he cannot build a stadium but he went to the Volta Region and promised to build a stadium,” he explained.
