The Parliamentary Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Sagnarigu Constituency of the Northern Region for the 2024 general election, Attah Issah, has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Tamale-based controversial radio presenter, Halik Musah popularly known as the local people as DJ Tell, to apologize for his defamatory comment against him or face legal action.
“My lawyers have issued a formal notice to you regarding the defamatory comment you made against me and the NDC party on social media. We demand that you retract this statement and issue a public apology within 48 hours. Failure to comply with this demand will result in further legal action.”
The NDC parliamentary candidate through his lawyer, Salifu Be-Awuribe Issifu indicated that their Attention was drawn to his Facebook timeline Post of 2nd August, 2024 in which he insinuated that his Vehicle was vandalized by the NDC Sagnarigu candidates supporters on the instructions of Attah Issah.
“You again alleged in the said post that the said vandalism of your vehicle was orchestrated against you on the basis of your criticism of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and our Client.”
According to him, the said allegation is false and maliciously crafted to tarnish the image and hard-won reputation of Attah Issah , falsely representing him as a violent Parliamentary Candidate in the eyes of the public and by extension unfit for the position he is aspiring to lead.
“We demand that you retract and apologize with the same prominence and on all the networks and platforms you might have made those untruthful statements including
but not limited to your Facebook timeline within 48 hours from today or upon receipt of this letter, whichever is earlier. Take note and notice is hereby served that if you do not retract and apologise to our client within the 48 hours window of the grace period granted you, we shall have no other option than to take the appropriate legal action against you.” He warned.
