Ms Nana Yaa Jantuah, the former General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), has spoken out in support of Alan Kyerematen as the ideal candidate to lead Ghana into the future.
Speaking during a recent appearance on Oyerepa TV‘s Election Field program, Nana Yaa lauded Alan’s leadership skills, credibility, and experience, which she believes make him the right person to steer the nation forward.
“Alan Kyerematen is a man of credibility, experience, and strong leadership. He has the necessary skills to lead Ghana forward,” Nana Yaa emphasized.
Her endorsement was not just based on Alan’s political acumen but also on his remarkable ability to unite people. According to Nana Yaa, his charisma is one of the qualities that sets him apart, and she sees it as vital for the future of the country.
However, it wasn’t just Alan who received Nana Yaa’s support. She also voiced her backing for former President John Dramani Mahama, who is aiming to return to office.
Nana Yaa spoke highly of Mahama’s leadership, resilience, and strength, qualities she believes are essential in difficult times. “Mahama also has the necessary qualities to lead. He has shown resilience and strength in tough times, and just like Alan, he has the vision needed to move this country forward,” she remarked.
While her support for both Alan and Mahama was clear, Nana Yaa did not shy away from expressing her views on the current political landscape.
She took aim at former President John Agyekum Kufuor, calling his political decisions “outdated.” Specifically, she criticized his endorsement of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, arguing that it did not align with Ghana’s current needs.
“Kufuor’s time may have passed,” she stated. “His decisions now seem disconnected from the current realities that the nation faces.” Nana Yaa’s comments raised eyebrows, particularly as she questioned Kufuor’s judgment in supporting Bawumia over other potential candidates like Alan Kyerematen.
