Communications Director for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Sammy Gyamfi says Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo wanted a corrupt classmate hence the decision to investigate the Airbus scandal.
However, John Dramani Mahama after his exoneration has been proven to be unblemished.
He indicated that this is an indication that John Dramani Mahama is Ghana’s best leader to fight corruption in the country.
The Special Prosecutor at a Press Conference on August 8, 2024 exonerated John Dramani Mahama of any wrongdoing in the purchase of Airbus for Ghana’s Military.
The OSP indicated that there is no evidence to prove that the former President did any wrong.

Once again, H.E. John Dramani Mahama has been vindicated, as the Office of Special Prosecutor has exonerated him of any wrongdoing in the Airbus saga.
The evil smear agenda by the corrupt Akufo-Addo/Bawumia “agyapadie” cabal, who are desperately looking for corruption class mates, has failed.
Seven and half years after leaving office, John Mahama remains squeaky clean with unblemished integrity. Certainly, John Mahama is the incorruptible leader Ghana needs to win the fight against corruption.
