Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin has been sworn in as Chairman of the Board of the Electricity Company of Ghana.
This comes after the President appointed him to take over from Keli Gadzekpo who stepped down for personal reasons.
Alexander Afenyo-Markin was sworn in by the outgoing Energy Minister, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh who urged hin to work assiduously to make the ECG a company worth its salt in the economic growth of our country.
Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh indicated that he is confident that Hon. Afenyo-Markin, supported by the Board, will bring his leadership experiences to bear in steering the affairs of the company.
In a post announcing his swearing-in, the Majority Leader said “I was sworn in as ECG Board Chairman today. I remain resolute and committed to serving our country Ghana. May God be my guide”.
