2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers: We will do our best to qualify – Angola coach Pedro Gonçalves
Angola coach, Pedro Gonçalves has insisted they will do everything within their power to book their place in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).The Palancas Negras have been housed in Group F together with Ghana, Sudan and Niger.With the qualifiers set to kick off next month, the Portuguese trainer says they are determined and ready to ensure they book their place for the continent's most prestigious tournament which will be held in Morocco.“We believe that Angola has the potential to reach the Final Stage and that is a great goal that we have, which is to be present in all the major national team competitions," Gonçalves told CAFOnline."AFCON is a very important competition and we have seen our growth with the national team that revealed our performance in the last edition. Therefore, within our reach and with our resources, we will do everything to excel and be present in the Morocco in 2025”, he added.Angola will open their qualifying campaign with a game against Ghana at the Baba Yara Stadium on September 5, 2024.
